We treat every client as an individual with a unique set of problems and needs, therefore our approach to therapy is tapered to meet those unique needs. We begin with a Cognitive Behavioral foundation for conceptualizing problems. This form of therapy is a collaborative effort to identify and modify the thought patterns and belief structures that contribute emotional and behavioral problems. We then work with clients to restructure these maladaptive thought patterns. This work might include monitoring and measuring thoughts and behaviors, or implementing direct behavioral interventions, such as gradually approaching or exposing clients to situations that cause emotional reactions. We may supplement therapy with relaxation training using biofeedback, meditation, or hypnosis. Our goal is always to fit the best treatment plan for your specific problem.
